| Power and Performance |
The 2008 Jeep Compass is a four-door sport utility vehicle. It comes with two engines: a 2.4-liter four-cylinder and a 2.0-liter, in-line, four-cylinder. There is a lifetime warranty on the powertrain. The available transmissions are a zero-speed continuously variable and a five-speed manual; the drivetrains are front-wheel and four-wheel. The base models have an output of 172 horsepower. |
| Styling |
The 2008 Compass has a host of interior features that are especially convenient during long rides. It has four large speakers, one in each door, to which one can add one’s own music; Boston Acoustics; Sirius satellite radio; MP3 jack; navigation radio; and lots more. Standard are 18-inch cast-aluminum wheels, while optional are 18-inch chrome-clad cast aluminum wheels and 17-inch cast-aluminum painted sparkle-silver wheels. The concept model, Rallye, has some different features, including front and rear fascia appliqués and other exterior features in a Mopar body kit; 18-inch black-painted cast-aluminum sculpted wheels; driving lamps with covers; roof-mounted rear spoiler; and a several bright colors. |
